How to Develop a Personal Relationship with Jesus Christ and Obtain Eternal Life
Receiving Jesus Christ is as simple as ABC
Admit that you have sinned.
The Bible says that everyone has sinned. Romans 3:23 "All have sinned and fall short of the glory of God." Sin is not obeying God’s law and includes things such as lying, cheating, anger, evil thoughts, immoral behavior, stealing, and more.
Believe that Jesus Christ died for You.
John 1:12 "Yet to all who received Him, to those who believed on His name, He gave the right to become the children of God." Because Jesus Christ came to earth and lived a sinless life and died on the cross to pay our penalty for sins, He now offers us eternal life as a free gift.
Confess that Jesus Christ is the Lord of your life.
Romans 10:9,10 "That if you confess with your mouth, ‘Jesus is Lord’, and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. For it is with your heart that you believe and are justified, and it is with your mouth that you confess and are saved." After we recognize we are a sinner and believe that Jesus Christ died and rose to live again for our sins, we must simply confess that Jesus Christ is the Lord of our life.
Now, if you want to become a Christian and ask God to become Lord and Savior of your life, simply pray this prayer to God…
"Dear Lord Jesus, I know that I am a sinner. I believe that You died for my sins and arose from the grave. I now turn from my sins and invite You to come into my heart and my life. I receive You as my personal Savior and follow You as my Lord. Amen."
